Schneider National has opened a new facility aimed at spurring innovation in the transportation sector, the company announced May 17.

Called The Grove, the 20,000-square-foot facility is located on the company’s Green Bay, Wis. campus. It houses technologies that offer stakeholders, including employees, customers, industry allies and the local community, a chance to collaborate on and advance business practices across the supply chain and logistics sectors, Schneider said.

“We are thrilled to finally open our doors at The Grove, and we are excited about what this investment brings to our community,” Schneider CEO Mark Rourke said. “We are helping to put Green Bay on the map as an innovation hub for transportation and logistics.”

“The Grove will play a crucial role in building the future,” added Schneider Chief Innovation and Technology Officer Shaleen Devgun. “Our goal in opening The Grove is to provide access to state-of-the-art tools and spaces that spark creativity, fulfill our promise to always deliver and always be ahead, and lead to decades of innovative ideas and solutions across the industries we serve.”

Construction of The Grove followed environmentally responsible building practices, including using sustainable building materials, a geothermal heating and cooling system, solar technology, LED lighting, efficient plumbing fixtures, and windows that help regulate temperature.

Schneider ranks No. 8 on the Transport Topics Top 100 list of the largest for-hire carriers in North America, and No. 20 on the TT Top 100 list of the largest logistics companies. — Transport Topics
